Around three hours south of Manila, Anilao has a large concentration of dive sites along the coast of Batangas, with reefs, walls and an extraordinary variety of marine life.
Staying at a dedicated dive resort puts the diving at the centre of the experience, with everything we need on site and easy access to the surrounding dive sites.
Our preferred time for Anilao experiences is November to May.
The Experience
Anilao offers a wide variety of diving, from reefs and walls to the small and often unusual marine life for which the area is particularly well known.
What we particularly like about Anilao is the opportunity to dive regularly over several days. Returning to the water each day gives us time to become familiar with the environment, explore different aspects of our diving and build on each experience.
Between dives, there is little need to go anywhere. Time can be spent at the resort, by the pool or simply resting before the next session.
Our local partner
We work with Aiyanar Beach & Dive Resort, a dedicated dive resort with its own dive centre, boats, training pool and house reef.
Having the accommodation and diving in one place gives us a practical base for Journey Underwater experiences and allows the diving and our sessions on land to work together throughout the stay.
